Excellent Food with Nice Atmosphere
Booked a Friday night and the place was buzzing when we arrived. Shown immediately to the table and throughout the evening, excellent service. We all add 3 courses from an interesting and varied menu and all courses well presented. The fish/seafood is particularly good but so is the wild boar. Good sized portions and the house red is excellent quality and value. The desserts are a little pricey but overall, probably the best place to eat in Lancaster. Will certainly go back again.
It's the best restaurant in Lancaster
The early bird offer is the beat around! Choices today were wide and varied with loads of dishes half price.starters included stuffed tomatoes with chorizo risotto,baked clams,3different soups,snails and warm chicken salad! I had the tomatos which were superb!
Re mains included slow beef casserole,confit of duck,pork chop,hake with bacon or plaice with clams! All mains served with divine dauphinoise potatos,fat cut chips and an array of fresh vegetables! So much food meant there was no room for afters! 8 of us ate 2 courses and two drinks each and the bill was only £120! An absolute bargain!
The simply squiffy menu is also superb and the new Xmas menu looks fantastic! For me,Robert and Seb have kept this restaurant at it's peak for over 10 years now!

Lancaster's best restaurant
Booked a table for 6pm for the early bird offer (some mains and starters half price). Arrived early and were warmly greeted by the maitre d'. Lovely intimate side table for two. We thought everything including drinks was reasonably priced, even outside the offer. The food was in fact heavenly and superbly cooked (mussels starter, duck main, bread and butter pud dessert). Service was great, atmosphere good. Will definitely go back.
A wedding to remember
Quite Simply French were fantastic for our wedding catering. They were really professional, friendly, helpful, and went well beyond our expectations for service. The food also was very plentiful and really good quality. They contributed enormously to the success of our day, and we're really grateful.

Good value
We always come for the early bird offer. It's such great value for money and I would say there's not another restaurant in Lancaster that comes close for quality and value.
