DIGITAL KEY ACCESS
if you’re planning on locking yourself away in your room night and day, no problem. If you’re heading out to explore, then your unique PIN code will open the front door as well as your bedroom. Please remember, don’t forget your PIN code, especially if you’re planning on coming back in after 11 PM. We recommend taking a picture of your pin.
GADGETS
Our BoutiqueBedrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology. You will be shown how to operate the gizmos and gadgets but if you’re wondering how to close the Velux blinds, they are remote-controlled.
Too hot? Too cold? You’ll need to adjust the Nest control on the wall. Just a quick turn to the right until it becomes orange will heat the room for you. If you’d like it off, turn to the left and this will switch off.

We’re here to help and we want your stay to be as perfect as possible so if there’s anything you need or anything not quite right for your room, please let us know.
Need an iron or ironing board? No problem. | Forgotten your toiletries? We have a humble selection of essentials that we can bring for you. | Wet hair? There’s a hair dryer under the sink in your bathroom.

AU REVOIR
We hate to see you go and we hope you come again soon. But if could fully vacate your bedroom by 11 a.m. on the day of your departure, then that will be wonderful and will help us to be able to fully prepare it to our exacting standards for the next guest .
Please remember for the best rates it’s always best to book direct from our website. They are on average 20% cheaper than using third-party travel companies as we do not have to pay commission so pass on the savings to you.
EMERGENCY
If you have an emergency then please contact us – night and day between 8 am and 11 pm. You can call our landline 01524 843199. Outside those hours please call our 24-hour emergency line 07494383147. Please note the emergency mobile number is for use when nobody is on the premises and for emergencies only.
FIRE EXACUATION
Not something we want to think about is it? But it’s important so take a read through this bit and take note.
In the unlikely event of a fire or a fire drill please make your way to the official assembly point at the back of the building by Quay Meadow. If you need any assistance during an evacuation please tell a member of the staff as soon as you can. Full evacuation procedures can be found on the back of your hotel room door.
SMOKING
Simply put there’s no smoking or vaping allowed anywhere in Quite Simply French, hardly surprising in this day and age. Please, please, please don’t do it and please, please, please don’t tamper with the smoke detectors that are there for your safety and for the safety of your lovely fellow guests and our staff. Oh and no charging of vaping equipment in the room either whilst you’re not in the room. If you would like to smoke/vape then please go outside the front or the back of our building.
We do reserve the right to levy room cleaning and repair charges up to £150 to anyone who is known to be smoking or vaping in the bedrooms or tampering with the smoke detectors.
BREAKFAST
First they say it’s the most important meal of the day, which is why ours is most delicious. It’s served 7:30 to 9:30 on Monday to Friday and then 8am to 10am on weekdays and bank holidays. As we are a small boutique hotel, breakfast does need to be pre-booked with one of the team.
RESTAURANT
We’re proud to be Lancaster’s number one fine dining restaurant, serving our community for 30 years. Our menus change every day and with the seasons and every plate is cooked to order. We’re not fussy or tricksy, just skilled, imaginative, and full of the unexpected.
If you would like to dine in our restaurant, book as soon as possible because we’re very popular and are often fully booked. Room reservations do not guarantee a table reservation, with the exception of guests on the dinner, bed and breakfast rate, and we’d hate for you to be disappointed.
