TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The terms and conditions set out here apply to all bookings made through this website for Quite Simply French. Quite Simply French is a trading name of RDA Restaurants Limited is a company registered in England and Wales (No 4002058) whose registered office is 27a St Georges Quay, Lancaster, LA11RD UK. (“we” or “our”) Our VAT registration number is 135539702.
COVID-19
If you are staying with us for multiple nights due to COVID-19 safety procedures we will not be able to service your room however we are able to supply any fresh towels and tea/coffee that you might need during your stay.
We are independently certified by NAVITAS to be covid secure. We adhere to strict health and safety procedures for the safety of both you and our team.
BOOKING POLICY
Quite Simply French requires your credit or debit card details upon booking to secure your room.
Full payment is taken on check in.
After check-in, the remaining part of all guest reservations are non-transferable and non-refundable. Where an amendment is not made in accordance with our amendment terms, the payment taken is forfeited and is not refundable.
COVID-19 PRE-PAYMENT POLICY
In order to reduce contact times with guests and our team where possible we will take payment for all room charges 24 hrs before arrival. We have a key less coded check in system to enable any guests to check in contact free should they wish. Full card details must be stored as part of our standard booking policy.
CANCELLATION POLICY
You will be charged 50% of the total room rate, if you cancel within 14 days before your stay.
You will be charged 100% of the total room rate, if you cancel within 7 days before your stay.
CREDIT CARD AUTHORISATION
A pre-authorisation is required for every reservation and will be requested at reception on check in. No money is taken from your credit card but it will show as a ‘Pending Transaction’. If a guest does not have a valid debit / credit card available the hotel has the right to request a cash deposit of £100.00 (with valid ID) per room which will be returned on check out. The date the pre-authorisation gets released varies, depending on your individual credit/debit card. Upon your check out any room charges, damages or extras will be charged to your card, this will appear on your credit card statement within 3 working days. However if you choose to pay the balance with another credit card or method of payment we will cancel the pre-authorisation and this could take up to 10 working days to clear in your account.
We may retain your credit or debit card details temporarily after your stay has ended and you consent to us debiting such amounts for which you are responsible as a result of any damage caused to your QSF room by you during your stay, or anything missing once you have left. These amounts may be debited from your card without prior notification.
CHILDREN
Children under the age of 2 can stay free of charge at our hotel, when sharing a room with a paying adult where a suitable room is available. Availability of suitable rooms is limited, and the hotel does provide a travel cot on a first come first served basis. The hotel will determine whether a room is suitable for the purpose of this offer.
SMOKING POLICY
Please note that ALL our bedrooms and public areas are NON-SMOKING (£150 fine applies, which we reserve the right to deduct from any credit card pre-authorisation without prior approval, if we deem to be necessary). If you’d like to stand outside reception and smoke, however, we will give you a lovely umbrella to shelter you from the Lancastrian rain!!
DAMAGES
We reserve the right to charge your card without prior notice up to £300 for any damages made to the room or property during your stay.
PETS
We allow small well behaved dogs and parents in our Ashton Suite only and this is on a first come basis. We reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee of £50 for any doggy related issues we deem to be outside of “best behaviour”
CAR PARKING
Parking at the front of our building is free for 3 hours or anytime between 6pm & 11am. These spaces are limited and public spaces. We have secured 4 parking permits for our guests use during their stay which are free. We require a £20 deposit for the permit and permits taken and not returned within 24hrs will incur the full cost of the permit which is £150.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
We do our utmost to make sure hotel rooms are all available from 2pm on the day of arrival, but if you arrive early and there is a suitable, fresh, clean room available, you’ll be the first to know. Rooms should be vacated by around 11 on the day of departure, unless otherwise sanctioned at the discretion of the hotel receptionist.
We will do our utmost to accommodate your requests if there are any. Your room will be held for your arrival until 11.00am the morning following the first night of your reservation. In the event of a non-arrival, we reserve the right to re-sell the room at this point as an empty room isn’t doing anyone any good!
ROOM TYPES
Our rooms are different in style but not in finish. We think they’re all pretty much the best boutique hotel rooms in Lancaster though. During the booking process, should the one you require not be available, then try another one. Please ensure that your booking reflects your requirement. All of our rooms have King size beds. We have only one Twin room.
RESERVATIONS
After your booking has been confirmed, we will send you an email containing your booking reference number and details. Please bring a copy of this (or save it down on your smartphone) and present this along with the credit / debit card used when checking in. You may be required to sign or enter the PIN code at check in, and we will also pre-authorize you card for incidentals during the stay. If the room has been booked on your card, but for another lucky soul, please do let us know so our receptionists are aware of who the mystery guest is that is due to be arriving.
COMPLAINTS OR COMMENTS
We take our guest satisfaction very seriously. Any complaint or comment regarding your stay should be made in the first instance to the hotel’s duty manager at the time of your stay so that we can attempt to resolve it immediately. Other hotels say this, and some don’t always stick to it, but we promise to do our best in getting back to you within 24 hours.
GENERAL INFORMATION
We are responsible for losses you suffer as a result of Quite Simply French breaching the Terms & Conditions if the losses are a foreseeable consequence of Quite Simply French’s breach and no more than three times the fee payable in respect of your stay. Losses are foreseeable where you and/or Quite Simply French could contemplate them at the time our agreement was formed. Quite Simply French is not responsible for indirect losses that are not foreseeable by you.
Whilst we make every effort to ensure that the material contained on the Quite Simply French website is accurate, we do not warrant or represent its accuracy and disclaim to the maximum extent permitted by law all warranties expressed or implied by statute, custom or usage relating to the information contained in the website.
We shall have no responsibility for any property left in or damaged as a result of being in your Quite Simply French room during your stay. The laws of England and Wales shall apply to the Quite Simply French website and the Terms and Conditions and court proceedings relating thereto may only be commenced in England and Wales.
